Turkey's best tunes are here.They are very competently performed, with well chosen, moderate rhythms.There are tempo-changes here and there, which always hit the spot.The LP era production, though modest, doesn't quite do justice to how well the ensemble actually plays.There is only a 'slight' tackiness to how the music was recorded (some instruments too stripped of timbre, some too much reverb), but nowhere near enough to compete with its good points.Theres an overall charm about this cd that wins.
